Description

Ammdent Calform RC provides a dual-action approach to endodontic healing. The calcium hydroxide base maintains a high alkaline environment (pH >12), which effectively eliminates residual bacteria and stimulates the periapical tissues to initiate repair. The addition of Iodoform significantly enhances the paste’s antimicrobial properties and provides superior radiopacity, allowing for clear clinical monitoring throughout the treatment process.

This material is particularly effective for cases involving chronic periapical lesions or incomplete root formation. By creating a bacteriostatic environment, it encourages the natural formation of a calcified bridge (apexification), providing a stable foundation for final obturation. The oil-based, non-setting formula remains stable within the canal and can be easily removed when the treatment phase is complete.
